TOWER - Thessaloniki Organisation for Women's Employment and Resources

Welcome to the Frontpage

TOWER exec board
Tower (Thessaloniki Organisation for Women’s Employment and Resources) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit network of women focusing on career development for the foreign woman in Greece. Women from every country are welcome as members.
Besides an electronic newsletter and regular events – from seminars to conferences - members can benefit from the expertise of Tower Network Facilitators in tourism, business relations, teaching, technology, self-expression, and translating/interpretation.
There is also a network for newcomers to Thessaloniki.
TOWER’s website http://www.tower4women.gr has proven very popular with the general public. Besides information about Tower events, visitors can use the online bulletin board to post and read notices about community activities, job openings and various other
general information.
Apart from attracting the interest of the target community, Tower has also served as a mouthpiece for female foreign immigrants living in Greece at international conferences on immigration in Vienna and Athens. National newspapers have run articles on Tower, and it has also had local press, radio and television coverage.
Tower seeks a fully integrated society.

How We Support Our Community
Within the overall umbrella of our organisation, a number of TOWER Networks were created in order to focus on specific areas of professional interest and provide members with specialised assistance. Each Network is co-ordinated by a Network Facilitator who, through her professional experience and qualifications, is able to provide expert support and advice, either through group meetings or on an individual request basis. There are currently 9 Networks. See our Networks page to learn more about these.

What are the benefits of consulting a TOWER Network Facilitator?
Through our Network Facilitators, you will be able to do the following:
• Meet other women with similar professional interests.
• Gain insights, knowledge and skills related to your profession.
• Focus on finding solutions to problems particular to the Greek environment.
• Find resources to help develop your training/enhance your qualifications.
